Subject Description

The aim of this subject is to introduce students to a range of skills, techniques and principles fundamental to the production of motion graphics.


Motion graphics has become a popular and effective form of visual communication. The subject explores the relationship between graphics and time based media and the diverse applications for motion graphics.


The motion graphics online community is incredibly resourceful and students are encouraged to research artists and their work for inspiration, ideas and further learning.

 

Learning outcomes

  1. Use motion graphics as a communication tool.

  2. Take a creative and conceptual approach to the design of motion graphics.

  3. Apply fundamental motion graphics skills and techniques across a wide range of outcomes/platforms.

  4. Work within the limitations of a project brief.
