Subject Description

The aim of this subject is to develop the skills and knowledge of students in organising and structuring information into a functional system, according to user experience principles. Students will learn through designing and developing a multimedia product to demonstrate the application of user-centred design principles.

 

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, learners will be able to:

  1. Research, analyse, organise and document, complex data and interactive designs

  2. Interpret and communicate complex data into an interactive design outcome

  3. Design hierarchical systems and navigational interfaces for effective accessing and utilisation of large amounts of information

  4. Implement appropriate and functional graphic solutions across multiple levels of interaction, through a variety of media

  5. Work collaboratively to realise and implement proposed design solutions
