Subject Description

With DSLR’s now providing high definition video, multimedia designers are under increasing pressure to include video production in their services. However capturing satisfactory video requires additional knowledge skill and equipment. This subject introduces photography students to the knowledge, skills and equipment required.

 

Learning outcomes or Competencies

  1. Use a digital SLR to capture professional quality HD video

  2. Record synchronised sound to use with video

  3. Use film/TV lighting techniques and instruments

  4. Obtain sufficient coverage to edit

  5. Edit collected video

  6. Output to appropriate format
