Subject Description

The purpose of this subject is to learn the roles and responsibilities of the animation director. It also looks at the director as the creator, producer and visionary of animated content and also as the captain of the animation production crew.

The subject revisits the medium of animation through the eyes of one of the most important roles an animator can aspire to.

  1. Develop a pitch bible for an animated series or film

  2. Prepare a script, storyboard, animatic and production plan

  3. Direct voice talent and animators

  4. Articulate the roles and responsibilities of the animation director.

  5. Plan, budget and schedule the production.
