Subject Description

The aim of this subject is to practice lateral thinking and to explore creative methods to enrich the creative process.

 

Content

Students will engage in research, development and delivery of conceptual exercises and projects to extend their ability to resolve and execute their ideas strongly and coherently. This subject will demonstrate the clear distinction between design thinking and mark making and introduce students to a deeper understanding of utilising the conceptual process for their design work. Students will also cover the process to transform concepts into final prototypes/designs.

2. Demonstrate a strong understanding of conceptual thinking and creative problem solving   

3. Utilise advanced visual communication skills / methods to elevate communicate concepts

4. Use image and type to communicate complex messages and ideas efficiently and clearly
