Subject Description

To familiarise students with interior building construction methods, process and materials.

To develop communication skill through working drawing documentation and drawing.

To familiarise students with the Building Code of Australia

 

Learning outcomes


1. Develop graphic and writing techniques to document, express and communicate ideas   

   clearly and effectively

2. Be able to communicate with building trades, manufacturers and consultants

3. Apply material understanding appropriately and effectively to design solutions

4. Understanding building codes, authority requirements, standards and occupational health

   and safety issues

5. Develop construction detail drawing documentation

6. To analyse and research building materials and solutions
