The study of hospitality within the structure of a commerce degree offers you the opportunity to develop a specialisation in a growing field with a solid base in economic principles and management strategies.

The Raffles Hospitality major focuses on equipping the student with the ability to provide excellent service. It widens the student’s knowledge of higher level hospitality concepts as well as generic business and management subjects. The aim is to prepare the graduate for a fast changing global business environment in which hospitality and tourism is the largest and fastest growing industry. Further, you’ll also gain an understanding of the tourism industry, which relies heavily on knowledge of hospitality and service principles.

There is a broad choice of electives on offer: some hospitality-specific; others focused on other majors such as marketing and finance; as well as some more general majors to suit a varied range of interests. 

This degree prepares students with the relevant knowledge and skills for career advancement and management positions in the hospitality and services industries worldwide.

The service industries have been undergoing exponential growth as an increasing number of countries rely more and more on hospitality for their revenue.
