Raffles College of Design and Commerce logo

The logo is focused on some key elements:

- The clear enunciation of the RAFFLES brand (cadmium yellow). Both the name and colour draw their heritage from the Raffles Education Corporation (REC) of which we are a member.

- The announcement of the key disciplines DESIGN and COMMERCE.

- The YELLOW DOT represents the individual because it's individuals that are most important to us. All our students and staff are individuals and it's they who may up the wonderful, dynamic, eclectic community that is Raffles. It also represents the idea that it's individuals who make up communities.

While not part of our logo, we use the graphic device of a YELLOW SQUARE. We call it our canvas. It's a space that allows us to be as creative as we want. It's a space we can do whatever we like with. It's a space we can have fun with. It's our space. It represents the college and everything we stand for... creativity, innovation and flexibility. It also is there to encourage our students and staff to "think outside the square".

Our logo and graphic elements underpin the vision and mission of the College that aspires to innovation and excellence in teaching and the empowerment of the individual through learning.

A career as a film director is Andrew Marshall's ambition. He says "I was drawn to the Degree where I could major in moving image because it's a broad program and covers all aspects of film making. The course is very hands on, challenging and lots of fun. We get involved with camera shoots, research what's been done before and apply it to what we're doing. It's very interesting and rewarding. It's fantastic being part of an enthusiastic group of students and having inspiring lecturers. They are not afraid to challenge you – you get great feedback with constructive and positive criticism."
