What our students say

"I love my job so much. I get up and I'm just so excited about going to work. I'm doing all the things I was trained to do. I'm working with the Sidgreaves Group in Silverwater. We have the factory and project managers on site which enables us to complete jobs quickly. We are mainly involved in retail and so have been involved in designing the interiors for Artis Hairdressers', Sheridon Australia and Bally and Blooms."

Ainsley Campbell
Junior interior designer
Sidgreaves Group

"I want to thank all my lecturers at Raffles for the guidance and understanding you gave us all as students and as friends during the time we spent studying Graphic Design. The training I gained has been invaluable, and has given me a firm grounding to start my career. As you know, I am working at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising down here at 'The Rocks'. It's an amazing place to work, I've been doing everything from Mac operating and designing to illustration and storyboarding. The culture and people here are what really makes this place standout from the pack though, being a generally young crew, everyone seems to flow on the same vibe, it's something you have to witness to appreciate. But without your help, and the force of Raffles behind me, I know that ever having an opportunity like this would have been slim, so know that I, along with all my classmates and peers, appreciate everything you did for us."

Jonathon de Pyper
Junior Art Director
Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising

"The classes are well rounded, thoroughly thought out, and delivered in a professional and personalised atmosphere. You are taught how to approach and solve animation/SFX problems, not just follow a tutorial and click buttons." Andrew McDonald Graduate "Coming from Tooraweenah in the country to Raffles in Sydney was a huge learning curve for me. At college I gained a solid understanding of the industry, especially in range development which enabled me to be employed as fashion merchandiser at Howard Chia Imports, in the childrens sleepware department. My job involves working with buyers, graphic artists and fabric merchants as I am responsible for the production of a garment from sample through to the finished outfit. It is a challenging and rewarding position and allows me to meet and interact with a diverse group."

Kristley Butler
Fashion Merchandiser
Howard Chia Imports

"I love my job and just finished working on the second summer range for Aztec Rose. I helped organise a photoshoot of our range for B magazine which involved art directing and sourcing the location, the models and makeup artists for the shoot. I am now working on the labelling for a new brand that we have just released called Bassy which is a funky sleepwear range. Thank you for all your help. Studying graphic design at Raffles gave me the skills and confidence I needed to obtain my dream job."

Marissa Fleming
Junior graphic designer
Aztec Rose

"After completing the Certificate II in Art and Design at Raffles, I enrolled in the Fashion Design Diploma course. During my training, I not only learnt how to design individual garments but an entire range. The course required students to do work experience and I was fortunate to be offered one day a week working with Akira Isagawa. This led to full-time employment after completing my studies. At Akira Isagawa my role is to assist the patternmakers in creating unique patterns for the four collections produced each year which appear in the major fashion shows in Australia, Tokyo and Paris. I love my job."

Design Management - Elise Watson's great affinity with art drew her to studying at Raffles College."What I like about studying here is the quality of teaching and level of support. I really appreciate the small class sizes and personal recognition within class. We're all like minded students and mix together well. It's also given me universal scope so I'm looking forward to having a portable degree and working overseas after graduating."
