Interior Design is about spaces and the needs of the people that occupy them. Interior designers work in three-dimensions and need to consider space allocation, building services, traffic flow, furniture, fixtures and surface finishes.

Interior Design
Our Bachelor of Design majoring in Interior Design will teach you an appreciation of design, lighting and colour, and provide you with technical skills to create unique spaces.
Career opportunities include residential interior designer, commercial interior designer, theatrical set designer, architectural interior designer and more.

Raffles’ Interior Design department works with industry partners who help train our graduands regularly by offering them industry placement in some of Australia’s top design studios.

Portfolio requirements
As well as the Higher School Certificate, your portfolio is your passport into Interior Design at Raffles.
Your entry portfolio should be a creative collection and you should compile it in order to demonstrate primarily your creativity, but also your ability to communicate and conceptualise more abstract design ideas. It is designed to support your Raffles application.
