Where we are

Rise above it all and still be in amongst it

Raffles North Sydney campus As far as inspiration goes, the views you'll see from our studio and classroom windows take some beating. Soaring above North Sydney's central business district on Sydney Harbour's northern shore, our campus is a few minutes walk from North Sydney train station and is surrounded by the local cafes and shops.

We believe making friends and enjoying life is as important as study, so you'll also find places to hang out with your fellow students. You'll join a friendly and supportive community which goes beyond the group of people you study with. With a single campus, there are few barriers between you and our other students and the staff who make up who we are. You'll get to make loads of new friends from other disciplines and at different stages of learning.

About North Sydney

Transport

North Sydney train station is served by the North Shore and Western Lines (Yellow on train system map) and the Northern Line (Red on the train system map). From North Sydney station to Town Hall (city centre), it takes 10 minutes (3 stops).

Buses travel to and from North Sydney to the city centre (about 10 minutes) as well as all over the Northern Suburbs. There are also special express services travelling to locations such as Bondi or Manly (30 minutes).

Public transport information is available from the Transport infoline.

Parking in North Sydney is available on the street for limited time periods and is mostly metered. There are also a number of undercover car parks available, most of which offer early bird rates.

Shopping and Services

As a major business hub, North Sydney has a large selection of shopping and services:

  • Greenwood Shopping Centre
  • Supermarkets (IGA and ALDI)
  • Medical, Dental and Optical centres
  • Post Office
  • Banks
  • Other services such as Medicare, Medibank and RTA

Food and Drink

There is certainly no shortage of coffee in North Sydney! Cafes are everywhere as well as take away shops, restaurants and food courts. You can find food from all over the world within a 5-minute walk of our campus. There's even a food court right here in our building.

Michelle Johnson, Mishka Boutique New Zealand says: “Raffles provided me the option to study fashion marketing in an open learning environment. The course was designed to broaden ideas about the industry and also give an opportunity to relay what was learnt on a practical level. One of the significant advantages of the course was being taught by industry professionals who gave invaluable insight into the fashion world and business environment. The highlight of the course was interacting with various design students and going on a variety of excursions that defined my career direction and laid the groundwork in achieving success in the industry. Through Raffles Program Director, Robert De Giovanni I was able to secure industry work experience at Prada Australia in their PR & Advertising team which later developed into a coordinator role following my degree completion. This year I am in the process of launching a premier online fashion boutique in New Zealand stocking luxury Australian and International labels – something I never thought possible without the support and knowledge learned at Raffles and the industry contacts passed on by Robert.”
