EMERGING DESIGNERS STAR IN RAFFLES INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE
WHAT: Raffles International Showcase
WHERE: Carriageworks, 245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh

This eclectic and creative group are Raffles’ most distinguished alumni. They include a former stylist and grandmother of five, children of refugees from Vietnam and Nicaragua, and a Czech designer who has already exhibited at the Louvre.
JRAA by Jennyfer Alonzo - Inspired by a trip to China, Jennyfer’s collection features strong digital prints.
LEAH WILLIAMS (self-titled) - Leah mixes natural and synthetic fibres and is inspired by 1960’s style geometric art and sculptures.
QUEENCY YUSTIAWAN (self-titled), - Queency’s signature style is sophisticated, bold yet extremely wearable and utilises a new take on black and white to achieve soft yet powerful silhouettes.
DE LA MOTTE by Anne de la Motte- Her new collection is inspired by the Impressionists and features garments in linen, silk, satin and georgette with a colour palette of pink, blue, pastels and teal.
CHADDIE by Chad Nguyen- His MBFWA 2016 collection features design for women in silk, satin, and silk lurex; combining traditional couture techniques with timeless femininity and modern wearability.
GEMMA SACCASAN (self-titled) - Gemma Saccasan’s MBFWA debut collection ‘The Garden Which Speaks of Happiness’ is designed for a feminine, sophisticated woman who embraces all that she is, and all that she has to offer.
IVA PFEIFFER (self-titled) - Her unique collection is inspired by the 1920s fascination with Orientalism, traditional patchwork and artists like Sonia Delaunay and Paul Klee. She is also very focused on ethically developed fashion.
