Before we begin with the top 5 Photoshop hacks, here’s my top tip: make sure you get into the habit of memorising keyboard shortcuts, it increases workflow which means more efficiency with projects.
Top 5 Photoshop Hacks:
Use custom brushes
it allows you to create things with one single brush stroke without having to repeat it multiple times.
Non destructive editing
uses smart objects and layer masks to adjust your assets without actually tampering with the original, so when you make a mistake it’s an easy fix.
Manage your layers
delete any irrelevant layers and flattening any images that have too many layers associated with them, this will reduce your file size. Having less layers means you’ll save a lot more space on your laptop or computer.
Save your actions
if you find yourself doing the same thing with multiple files such as having the same filters or saving in the same directory, automating it will save you time if you find yourself repeating multiple actions.
Constantly observe and look at references in real life
it is key to know the basic fundamentals such as understanding lighting, proportions and composition.
