Building your team is very important when it comes to a fashion shoot - actually, when it comes to any kind of shoot. It’s important to have a tight relationship, trust and confidence with the people you’re working with. Most of the time it will be the same people on a range of different projects. Building relationships will start from day one with your first assessment here at college and it will follow for the rest of your career. So get in there and give it your best!

Practice makes perfect
practice, work in teams, work with friends and constantly learn from each other
Work with friends
they’re going to make you feel more comfortable. You trust each other and you’re not scared to make mistakes. So keep making friends and keep expanding your network
Learn to say yes
it’s important to get out of your comfort zone and try new projects. Always say yes to tasks that excite you and keep you inspired and motivated
Learn to say no
it’s also very important to stay focused. Only work on the projects that you believe will benefit you in some way. Whether it’s your preferred style of photography or working with people who you have a great bond with, it’s essential to undertake tasks that are of value to you
you’re doing creative work, it’s important to have some love in your work as that always shows in the final product
